Kate with Simply The Best, Hurdy Gurdy Man & Mandolin Wind KENNELNEV - IGAZOLAS 'CUIDADO' FCI REG.SZ 353/11 Cuidado kennel was established in 1976 with the purchase of my first Rottweiler. With carefully planned matings and a lot of hard work the kennel slowly became successful at home and abroad. I travelled extensively in Europe , visiting shows and leading kennels - learning all the time. I read every book I could lay my hands on - there were not so many then! Time was served on two Breed Club committees, but I found that the politics of the dog world are not for me - I prefer to do what I'm best at, breeding excellent dogs!
Kate with Dizzi Miss Lizzi, Hanky Panky & Simply The Best After a ten year apprenticeship judging appointments began, followed, over the years, by article writing for dog papers/magazines, radio interviews, TV appearances, contributions to/editorship of books on the Rottweiler. There have been joys, and heartaches, along the way, but always my dedication and commitment to the Rottweiler breed have carried me through. Now, 34 years on from those early exciting years, I am still in love with this wonderful breed - enough to bring me out of a five year retirement - and am moving forward with high hopes for the future generations from Cuidado. My intentions now are the same as always - to breed Rottweilers, & now Pumis, sound mentally and physically, of correct size and type, with temperaments that we can live with, work with, and enjoy. The aim , as ever, is to produce quality not quantity.
UK Ch Cuidado Aila of Braeduke To date Cuidado has produced: 9 UK Champions - UK total of 54 CC's - I might have forgotten some!
And not forgetting 1 UK champion Tibetan Spaniel!! Plus all the other CC/CAC/Res CC/Res CAC winners from this kennel.
Cuidado Pumis en masse!
For several years I'd been looking for a smaller breed that took my fancy, & finally hit upon the Hungarian Pumi. It seemed to have everything that I was looking for to complement, & live with, the Rottweilers & rescued street dogs. Pumis are a lively, feisty herding breed with a terrier temperament. They excel in Agility, Fly Ball, Frisbee, even Dancing With Dogs; they are tremendously courageous herders of both sheep & cattle. Their curly coat does not shed; they make great house dogs & guards. I love the way they look - those wonderful tipped ears giving such a cheeky, quizzical expression. Pumis are never boring, they are great fun to live with & game for anything. So .................. I got my first Pumi pup from Sweden; Blue Grass Undis Ultravox ('Golly'); followed by a second puppy from Finland, Napos Julia ('Angel'). These two girls have brought a new dimension to life at Cuidado!! Two rapidly became four because Golly is the dam of Cuidado Perfectly Pumilisusz ('Diva') & Cuidado Pesky Pajkos ('Troy'); the sire is Int/Rom/Hu Ch Szurkebarat Ebenguba - a most handsome & delightful chap! we are one big happy noisy family- Pumis can be vocal. Napos Julia mated to Lovasbarat Glenn, gave us Cuidado Romantic Rosza (Topsy); then an unplanned mating with Troy produced a litter - I have kept Cuidado Sexy Sziren (Custard), 2 of her sisters will be going to UK as soon as their 6 mths Pet Passport wait has finished. Also we have the very handsome cream fako Lamkar Apollo, bred by Christina Lambert-Karpodinis, sired by Hu Ch Szurkebarat Dagoca from her Napos Muzsa, - hopefully he will make his mark on the Hungarian show scene! Now we've moved to a 'tanya', or farm, in Hungary - we have 9 acres of grass & trees for The Gang to rampage around. It's beautiful here, a truly lovely country - & I shall not move again - this is IT!!! JUDGING PHOTOS

Judging in the USA I have judged in UK, USA, Russia, Czech Republic, Jamaica, Sweden, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia - and I was proud to judge Rottweiler bitches at Crufts 1996.
